London Tango Ensemble

Overview
The London Tango Ensemble are rapidly gaining recognition as one of the most outstanding tango ensemble of the new generation, joining tradition with an innovative and fresh approach to interpretation. Formed in 2010 at the Royal College of Music in London, the Quartet have won numerous competitions and prizes, including the St Martin-in-the-Fields Chamber Music Competition. The quartet members – Barbara – violin, Anne – cello, Przemyslaw – piano and Bartosz – accordion are all competition winners and scholars holding degrees from London leading music conservatoires such as Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Royal College of Music. Their highly emotional potential and dedication to the music joined these four musicians to share their passion for chamber music. London Tango Quartet  has given numerous performances within the UK and in Poland including appearances at the Royal Albert Hall, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Amarylis Fleming Concert Hall in London and the Florianka Hall and Lagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. After being regularly coached by Ani Schnarch, Kevin Kenner, Levon Chillingirian and Helene Dautry, the quartet was invited to perform during the Chillingirian Mozart Festival at the RCM in London in 2011  followed by masterclasses with the Chillingirian Quartet and attended the Summer Music Academy in Krakow to study with the renowned concert pianist Kevin Kenner. The Quartet also took part in chamber music masterclasses with Richard Ireland at Kings Place in London, thanks to Phillip Carne Foundation. Individually, all four members are active soloists performing regularly within the UK and Europe.
