Harpist & Harp and Violin duo

Overview

The harp is an exquisite instrument, both to look at and for setting the perfect, unforgettable, atmosphere for your event.

Fede trained in her native Italy, obtaining her PG Harp Diploma at the celebrated Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome and subsequently studying for her Master of Music at Trinity College of Music, London. She is equally at home as an orchestral and chamber musician and as soloist, and delights in demonstrating the intricacies of the harp to her audience. She has, among countless engagements both in the UK and abroad, played at the Wigmore Hall, London, and worked with Orquestra Sinfonica do Porto in Portugal, the BBC Symphony Orchestra and the Philharmonia Orchestra. Federica also holds BA and MA degrees in Philosophy.

She is a very experienced harpist and available to provide beautiful harp music for weddings, functions and any corporate/private event. Regularly seen working with singers in duo with violinist David Giardino and jazz groups, Fede is able to tailor the music to your event, whether as a session musician or as a solo performer.

Violinist David Giardino and harpist Fede have years of experience as professional musicians and their strength as a duo lies in the atmosphere created by this unique combination of instruments.  The fusion of the plucked and bowed strings produces a beautiful, serene, soothing and intimate quality of sound.  Both well known recitalists, they have worked  together throughout England and abroad in native Italy for many years, and in addition to concerts, are available for all manner of bookings:  weddings, anniversaries, fundraising events and corporate functions.

Testimonials

“Dear David, many thanks for providing the music at the Chuppah. It was very beautiful and Gilda and I are most appreciative to you and your fellow musicians. Wishing you continued great success for the future. ”

Michael Abraham LevyBaron Levy

“They were an excellent group, genuinely happy to be playing music for us and even walked over with their instruments to a lady who’s birthday it was. They played as everyone sang. They couldn’t have been better, we were really pleased. Fantastic range of music, classical and modern day. Giardino String Quartet were also really really nice people, very approachable, professional and flexible.”

Hayley GommPrivate client

“The Giardino String Quartet was in fact the first to perform – as the guests arrived. They really set a high standard for the whole day. They turned up on time, looked great, rehearsed with another performer whom they had not previously met, and performed beautifully, first on their own and then during the ceremony with US singer Matt Alber. ”

Phillip LuffPrivate client
“You were all really great at the wedding and really made the atmosphere we were hoping for!”
Ilana LeaderBride

“Dear David, just a short note to say a big thank you to your string quartet for reliably turning up to play at the wedding in Ely last week. They were very obliging and played a great selection of music. Thank you so much and I hope to stay in touch and email with more bookings in due course. ”
